Apple Picking

It's that time of year again--apple picking time! Since the rain subsided for the day, we took a trip for our family home evening activity--yes, we are aware that we were neither at home, nor was it evening, but hey, it works! Coming soon...applesauce!

Aidan comparing his apples.

Karina picking on Daddy's shoulders.

Not to be outdone, Aidan said "Up, up, up!" so he could get some of the higher apples too.

Karina posing at the farm stand.

Aidan running away from the 17,000th attempt at a picture of him with his sister. These flowers were LOADED with bees and they were way too fascinating for Aidan to stand still and say cheese! Don't worry, no stings...he did try to pet one though!

Great smiles!

Ahh, thence comes Brother Frost's inspiration! However, I think "After Apple-Picking" (http://www.americanpoems.com/poets/robertfrost/12060) would have ended with less going to sleep and more waking up had your resident poet picked with these two smiling kids. That last photo is one of the best I've ever seen.

What great pictures! I am glad he wasn't able to pet the bee. Yikes! That would have caused some tears.
