Tumble Time

We loved watching the olympics. It seems like since the games, there has been a HUGE increase in people sending their kids to gymnastics classes. Well, I'm very aware of how much scheduled and unscheduled time my kids have, so I didn't sign Karina up even though she would love it, but we have taken advantage of open gym at our local gymnastics studio. My camera died before I go any pictures of Karina, but here are some cute pics of Aidan. He had a blast...what two year old wouldn't love to spend an hour in a place where you can jump and bounce on EVERYTHING! By the end of our first hour, Karina was hanging upside down by her knees on the high bar and the rings, she's got a pretty good vault and balance beam walk as well!

Karina's First Day of School

My sweet Karina had her first day of (pre)school on Monday! She had a wonderful first day and she can't wait to go back!

Karina and mommy.

Beautiful girl!

Holding her first piece of homework: a "getting to know me" page for circle time.

Signing in--have a great day Karina!

Santa's Village

Over the mountains and through the woods, to Santa's Village we went.

On Labor Day, we joined the Presbys for a trip to Santa's Village...a first for our kids. Now, don't worry as you look at these pictures. Aidan WAS there. He just had a tough day. He's not much of a ride fan anyway and early on we went on the kiddie roller coaster and the operator gave us a "treat" by letting us go 4 times without stopping. The first time around Aidan was gripping the bar for dear life, by the fourth turn, he had his head in Malcolm's lap. He did perk up after a half hour or so and we were able to take him on the Antique cars, train, and sleigh ride. Poor little guy!

Arm Wrestling

We had the Elders over for dinner and Karina had to demonstrate her arm wrestling skills. I love this girl's confidence!

Grandma's Park

Around the corner from Malcolm's parents' house, there is a park. Our kids have always loved it, but this year the town added a water feature which has made the park at least 5 times busier. We've made a few trips down in August and the kids both had a blast each visit!

Joy!

Aidan LOVED this tire tunnel...I had to climb up the slide at the end of it to pull his out because of the line of seven kids waiting patiently for him to go down.

Climbing the small rock wall.

Karina serving up "ice cream." She actually had this random little boy behind her getting orders for her, it was pretty funny.

Walking the tight rope.

Aidan discovering the water.

Not afraid to play with the boys.

Running through with Grandma.

Aidan playing in the drainage ditch...hey, it's still water, right?

Lunch time.

Happiness.
End of the day.

This video just makes me smile!

Pure Joy

Play Ball

Once upon an August afternoon...

SOOO posed, Karina asked me to take her picture like this, but it does look pretty cute!
