Dance Recital

Karina had her first dance recital on Saturday night! WAY too cute! Here are some pictures from dress rehearsal and recital night.

Karina and Melody as cute little mice for their ballet number "Hickory Dickory Dock."

Watching the other dancers.

This is the only remotely clear picture I got of them on stage...Karina's in the middle on her way off stage.

Karina and her friend, Abby, on recital night in their "Rubber Ducky" tap outfits.

This video is from the dress rehearsal. You are not allowed to video the actual recital. Anyway, during the recital, at the part where she tiptoes around the duck, Karina kicked hers accidentally behind two other dancers. She ran over to get it, and then kissed it better before returning to her spot and finishing the dance!

Graduation Day!!!

You will all have to excuse my bragging for just a moment. Malcolm graduated on Saturday with his BS in Accounting! It's been a long, hard 4 years for us. Going to school, working full time plus overtime plus side jobs, serving in callings, and raising a family all at once is not for the faint of heart, but he did it! We feel so blessed to have reached this point and we're so grateful to our Heavenly Father as well as our friends and families for somehow getting us through these last four years!

Anybody need to hire a good accountant???

Girls Night

Our friend, Stacie moved out west about two years ago. She came back for just a night to visit, so, of course, we had to get the girls together...I just wish we'd thought to get out the cameras before everyone was ready to go home. It was great to see you, Stacie!

The SEE

Last Saturday, we took the kids to the SEE Science Center for an afternoon of rainy day fun. We went with our friends, the Presbys and all of the kids had a wonderful time. Most of the exhibits are hands on for the kids. (We nerdy parents had a fun time too, to tell the truth.) The long drive was worth it and we're excited to go back another day to check out all the neat stuff we missed. (Note to anyone who lives around here...it's only $5 to get in and there are a bunch of other exhibits.)

Our family in front of the Millyard project--it's a replica of the city of Manchester about 1915. The SEE is located in one of the old mill buildings represented here.

I just can't believe what you can do with legos. This was probably Aidan's favorite thing. There are several trains that run through the mills and one has a camera that feeds to a big flat screen TV. Aidan thought it was great to be in front of the camera and see himself on TV. There's also a lego area for kids to build their own projects.

Karina and Kara looking over the "city."

Aidan uncovering some fossils in the dinosaur area.

Malcolm demonstrating Bernoulli's principle.

Karina and Kara using double and triple pulleys to "pull their own weight."

Aidan playing with gears--these gears are magnetic, so you can move them into different configurations and see what happens if you make a circle with odd or even numbered gears.

Noah, Kara, Ethan, Karina, and Elijah in the mock submarine. Karina and Elijah have their hands on the periscope.

Me and Karina by the ocean mural. You have to have something to look at through the portholes and periscope on the submarine.

This is a picture from the lighting section. Any guesses why they're doing this? Post a comment if you've got a guess.
